About The Artist
Georgia has always loved the freedom of creative expression in every
form: drawing, painting, fashion and jewelry design.
At 15, she was introduced to watercolor “en plein air” classes with Fred
Conway’s artist wife. However, growing up in a medical family and enjoying
medicine and people interaction, her early years influenced her career choice in
health care, earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at St. Louis University.
Later, she returned to her first love, the world of Art.
She began drawing and painting classes in local universities, and quickly
began accepting commissions for residential and commercial architecture as well as
wall murals, for individuals and various St. Louis organizations.
In 1996 she was one of the 7 founding members of the St Louis Watercolor
Society founded to bring in national professional artists for educational purposes as
well as providing exhibition opportunities for local artists.
By 2002, she had earned an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts. She
completed her Master of Arts and Master of Fine Arts from Fontbonne University in
2005. She has participated and won awards in various St Louis art competitions.
She is an active member of Art St. Louis, St. Louis Artists Guild and St. Louis
Watercolor Society. She teaches Plein Air classes at the St. Louis Artists Guild.
Georgia enjoys exploration of color in a variety of subject matters, both in
studio and “en plein air.”
Her style is Expressive Realism.
